This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects within industries such as mining, manufacturing, power generation, and infrastructure using modern, well-equipped workshop and access to advanced tools and technology.
Key Responsibilities
· Interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.
· Carry out welding, cutting, shaping, and forming of metal using various techniques including MIG, TIG, arc, and oxy-acetylene welding.
· Operate workshop equipment such as presses, rollers, guillotines, grinders, and cranes in a safe and effective manner.
· Follow safe work practices and comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
· Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications and Experience
· Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking) or equivalent recognised qualification.
· Previous experience as a Boilermaker/Fabricator in a heavy industrial or engineering environment.
· Demonstrated proficiency in a variety of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, arc, etc.).
· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
· High level of physical fitness and manual dexterity.
· Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
