This role is to be carried out with the mantra that a leader leads by example. This is a hands on, production focused role where you will work alongside those that you are responsible for. You will be shoulder to shoulder with your team, undertaking all facets of the role. You will be willing to get your hands dirty in this job!

The tasks that will be carried out by yourself and your team are:

  • Perform routine maintenance duties
  • Assist scheduling of preventative maintenance for all fixed and mobile plant
  • Safely operate a Front-End Loader, Forklift, water truck, yellow & large trucks ensuring chain of responsibility legislation standards met
  • Perform 25kg and bulk bagging duties taking care to observe safe manual handling techniques
  • Maintain safe, clean and tidy inside and outside workspaces
  • Undertake silo truck loading
  • Attend to customers in a professional manner and manage minor concerns
  • Ensure quality standards met for all products
  • Ensuring that output targets are met, and customer orders fulfilled as booked

Tasks that you will carry out under the direction of the Production Supervisor:

  • Carry out minor and major adjustments and tasks
  • Perform medium complexity maintenance tasks
  • Assist with organising and coordinating production team with strong emphasis on maintaining industrial harmony

Additional responsibilities:

  • Communicate production related needs and issues to office and assist purchase, delivery tracking and stocks of packaging, spares and pallets within budget – no computer knowledge is required.
  • Ensure all employees observe all WHS procedures at all times & are vigilant in identifying risk
  • Supervise crusher and plant operation when Production Supervisor not on site
  • Supervise start and shut down crusher circuit and plant

Must haves (required):

  • Forklift ticket
  • Driver’s licence
  • FEL ticket
  • Manual handling experience and capability – high level of fitness
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a team

  • First aid

  • Welding/ boilermaker
  • MR truck licence
