Overview

We are looking for a competent, confident and reliable Administration & Security Assistant for a fast-growing local company. This position has been created because of strong growth of the company.

 

As this small business continues to grow, there will be times that you will be required to step into a security officer role. Appropriate training and licencing will be required but can be obtained after you’ve started in the role.

 

The position involves taking phone and walk-in enquiries, booking jobs for the team, corresponding with clients and giving the team any administrational assistance that they require throughout the workday. It also involves basic accounts payable and receivable practices using the XERO accounting system.

 

This position will initially start as a casual position. There is a great opportunity for career progression and above award wages to be paid to the successful applicant.

 

To be considered for this position you must;

 

Be able to pass strict security checks – a clear police record will need to be obtained prior to employment

 

Be able to pass a mandatory drug test prior to employment

 

Have no physical restrictions that prevent you from carrying out your job satisfactorily – a medical may be required within your initial probation period

 

Maintain 100% confidentiality on all matters and customers

 

Have experience with the XERO accounting program or similar

 

The successful applicant will be able to hit the ground running on the reception and administration side of the job with extensive experience in a similar role.  There will be on the job training given for the industry specific areas of the job and any administrational tasks that are specific to the company.
